Video: Show us your favorite movie cliché.
An attractive man and woman are thrown together because of some circumstance beyond their control (or through friends, family or work), they can't stand each other, I mean they really hate each other, some misunderstanding leads to a furious slap, both parties are stunned momentarily, then a ridiculous against-the-wall makeout ensues.
HAS THIS EVER HAPPENED IN REAL LIFE?

Book: What book would you like to see made into a movie?
Submitted by Felipe Anuel.
I'm really excited to see the film adaptation of The Golden Compass. The book is incredible. I'm not a huge fan of fantasy or action/adventure, but this book moved me. I accosted Saul Williams backstage at Great American once and asked him three books I should read before I die, and the His Dark Materials Trilogy by Philip Pullman (The Golden Compass is the first book) was one of his recommendations.
The movie website let me figure out wat my own daemon would be:

If you like this song as much as I do, do the right thing and please buy the record, it's worth your few bucks.
In other music news, I've recorded my debut radio show for BAGeL Radio and it's airing tomorrow, February 8th at 4pm PST and will be re-broadcast at 10pm PST. You can tune in and listen to the streaming show in iTunes -- click on the radio tab and look under "Alt/Modern Rock" for "BAGeL Radio" -- or at the BAGeL Radio website. This is my first radio show ever, but it should air weekly. I don't even have a name for it yet and I need to give DJ Ted a photo too, so let me know if you have any ideas! And if you listen, please let me know your feedback.
Anyone in the SF area should stop by Bottom of the Hill tomorrow night for BAGeL Radio's 4th birthday party with Birdmonster, Division Day and Two Seconds.

My all-time most favorite episode of any cartoon, possibly of any television series, is the episode of "Ren & Stimpy" where Ren's cousin Sven Hoëk comes to visit. I've watched this episode so many times (I videotaped it back when it first ran) that I can pretty much quote it by heart.
A little setup: In this episode Ren has to go to work and leaves Stimpy with his cousin Sven all day. Sven and Stimpy become instant best friends and engage in all sorts of hijinks.

My favorite bar in San Francisco is The Homestead.
It has a great Monday night DJ night (which I wrote about last week on SFist) called Shellac Shack. The DJ only plays old 78s.
It has an awesome jukebox.
It's unpretentious. I can walk to it from my house. I like the decor.
And I was first taken there by one of my favorite humans Jeff Klein.
What's the first image that comes up when you Google your name?
A photo of Eve and me from the 2005 SFist holiday party. Could be worse!
I appear in MattyMatt's first image as well, and it's also SFist-related.

Oh so many.
Today's pick is "Anything You Want" by Spoon:
"You know you're the one and that hasn't changed since you were nineteen and still in school waiting on a light on the corner by Sound Exchange."
I waited on a light on that corner by Sound Exchange (back before it shut down) at 21st and Guadalupe Streets many many times when I lived in Austin. Now it's a Baja Fresh, *sigh*. At least the Daniel Johnston mural is still there:
