If you're a fan of indie rock, brave artistry and/or music documentaries, trust me and go see "Danielson: A Family Movie" while it's at the Red Vic in San Francisco from today through the 27th.
I got a chance to see it about a year ago and it blew me away. Read my review from SFist.

While I'm busy linking, this week's edition of my "When The Lights Go Down In The City" column is up. You can enter to win the new CD from The Finches.

My favorite bar in San Francisco is The Homestead.
It has a great Monday night DJ night (which I wrote about last week on SFist) called Shellac Shack. The DJ only plays old 78s.
It has an awesome jukebox.
It's unpretentious. I can walk to it from my house. I like the decor.
And I was first taken there by one of my favorite humans Jeff Klein.
What's the first image that comes up when you Google your name?
A photo of Eve and me from the 2005 SFist holiday party. Could be worse!
I appear in MattyMatt's first image as well, and it's also SFist-related.
Audio: Share a great love song.
Oh so many.
Today's pick is "Anything You Want" by Spoon:
"You know you're the one and that hasn't changed since you were nineteen and still in school waiting on a light on the corner by Sound Exchange."
I waited on a light on that corner by Sound Exchange (back before it shut down) at 21st and Guadalupe Streets many many times when I lived in Austin. Now it's a Baja Fresh, *sigh*. At least the Daniel Johnston mural is still there:
