Tilly and NIO
These are for Harold: tiny, very low-quality snippets of Tilly and the Wall's set from SXSW 2006, which was one of the highlights of the entire festival for me. In the second video, they're closing the set with some members of Of Montreal onstage with them.
Back when I wrote for Stylus Magazine I reviewed Tilly and the Wall's debut record Wild Like Children. Harmony, melody, joy, tap-dancing, what's not to like about Tilly?
I'm going to see them tonight at Cafe Du Nord with another one of my favorite obscure indie rock bands, Now It's Overhead.
Listen to Now It's Overhead's "Wait In A Line" off their first record.
