Awww, I should have told you!!! I caught it...my only neg. thoughts were that she REALLLLLY needs to trim her split ends! Other than that, she did an AWESOME job. I'm taking my kiddo to see her when she tours with Chris Isaak this Spring/Summer....can't freakin' wait!! I took my niece last time on her Gold Dust Tour but I think my daughter is finally old enough to handle both the noise and the crowd so her begging has paid off. :)
Oh Stevie Nicks... how I love her. I've always tried to copy her "look." I think she is just a fabulous woman. But alas, I too missed her halftime show.
I also heard that Prince performed. I love Prince! I know, I know... everyone teases me about it. But seriously, I don't know how anyone can not dance to Prince - at least his classic stuff. I'm such a dork.
I thought that Stevie was having some problems hitting the notes that she used to hit and the sound tech had the backup singers damned near muted. Also, Billy Joel was just aweful for the National Anthem.
I loved the Prince part of the show but had to watch it with my inlaws and their friends and they were moaning and groaning about him being awful. My wife mentioned to them that Prince has written more Number 1 songs than any other artist and the response was "I have never heard any of them!!"
I thought Stevie seemed a bit nervous...she feeds off the energy of her normally adoring crowds and this wasn't her usual throng of fans. But even so, Stevie hasn't been hitting the upper register stuff for quite some time...since the early 90's really. She pretty much blew her upper register by not not working with a vocal coach early in her career and she having to have surgery on her vocal chords (late 80's I believe). But for almost 59, I think she does well at doing the new arrangements...and the high notes are what the backup singers are for. ;) But I agree with you...their mics weren't up enough at all.
I missed the half time show. lol about the Prince comment though.
Krissy - I'm glad I'm not the only person under the age of 60 who is still obsessed with all things Fleetwood Mac. How was the Lindsey Buckingham show?
Prince was amazing - I wish I could move like that in stillettos (in the rain, no less)!
i KNOW...can't wait until they go on sale...I wonder if she's coming to both Dallas and Houston because I know it's going to be a smaller tour than normal. From what I've heard anyway...I don't want to have to drive to Houston but I will. lol At least I have a brother there and we can crash at his house afterward.

Being from UK, we don't have the Superbowl hype here (phew!) ;)
But, I adore Stevie Nicks!!! What a woman!
