Menomena!
Menomena's at Cafe Du Nord this Friday. Are you as excited as I am?
You can listen to a full album stream at the Barsuk website.
Also, my friend Boo (by way of my dear Jeff Klein) has his band Zykos featured as Spin's Artist of the Day today. The link to the mp3 appears to be broken, but you can listen to "Autographin' Bibles" at their myspace. The track was produced by another Austin friend, Mike McCarthy, the genius behind the production on the last several Spoon albums.

You know so many cool people, Krissy. I love the Zykos but I don't know what's going on with post parlo records these days. I only just found out last year that the zykos had a self titled record out after comedy horn. Great work in promoting it, parlo.
I think I might dig out comedy horn and vibe on that again, it's been a long time.
Oh yeah, wet and rusting is such a great song. I think it maybe the best song they've done, mainly because of the blast beats. Who doesn't love beats a blastin'.

Reply on Zykos' self titled 2nd release. I bought this from ebay i think, i have an advanced copy with shoddy cover etc.. but this is one of the best rock albums i've heard in years. Bought it when i was living in boston a couple of years ago and money well spent.
Incidentally, what IS up with Post Parlo? I signed up for their home series and there's been nothing since Ben Gibbard and Andrew Kenny's split..
Yeah man, I think they're still going but are just not doing much. I swear I saw a myspace for them at one point, but now I can't find it.
