I've never seen you look like this without a reason

I loved Big Country. I was sad to hear the tragic end of Stuart Adamson. That whole album was great, IMO.
Hm, I really didn't know anything about them so your comment prompted me to read his Wikipedia entry. It's fascinating that the bagpipe-like sound is really two electric guitars! I was wondering about that. I'll listen to the album on Rhapsody today.
I've always loved this song. I don't know how my brain made the connection exactly but when I listened to it as barely a teenager it made me feel like I would spend my life away somewhere. I can't explain it but I STILL get that feeling listening to it - like I need to get on an airplane or something and go someplace far far away.
Ha, I know what you mean!
I've actually been wanting to make a mix-tape...er, I mean CD...of songs that are also the band's name, but so far it's limited.

Big Country
General Public
Madness
Bad Company

Got any other suggestions?
Oooh good idea. Now since you've asked me I'm stumped... Let me think about it...

This song came out the year I was born. Crazy. Also, the singer has the same guitar as me. Insane! Though that's my old guitar which doesn't really work too well these days and is unreconisable due to the mass amounts of punk rock stickers.

TOTP filled my youth with a lot of good times. Friday nights, 7:30. Classic.

That bass player is buzzing.

Couldn't agree more. Great tune, timeless lyrics.
This tune is on my play list for when I run in the morning. I usually play it when I'm at the end of my course and am about wiped out - it always stirs up that last bit of my energy reserve...great tune!
