I Hate Fleet Week
After being in Manhattan on 9/11, I have an irrational fear of loud, low-flying planes. Therefore I find Fleet Week, with its brigade of Blue Angels zooming overhead causing a sonic boom every few minutes, especially stressful.
If you need me, I'll be hiding under my desk with my headphones on.

I hate Fleet Week too! I was home during the day, and we live not too far from SFO. A Blue Angel or 6 flew so close by and so loud that the house shook. This went on for maybe a minute and it was so unsettling that I stood under a doorway, bracing for an earthquake or worse.
The disturbance set off all the car alarms on the street and I went to go find my dog downstairs, knowing that she would be terrified like during the 4th of July. There she was, visibly trembling. Stupid Fleet Week.
