my record is somewhere around 120 or 130, but i try not to get over 75 on a regular day. there actually aren't any coded limits, but depending on what content you have open (especially flash stuff), it's very easy to go One... Two... Thuh-ree.... crash.
I'm pretty sure I've gotten close to 200, but I wouldn't recommend that. I reguarly have 3 rows of tabs showing, and quite often, there's a scrollbar to see more than 3. BUT the more I have open, the slower it goes, so I have to have tab-cleaning parties where I take care of whatever I was going to do or read in the tabs and trim it down to a more manageable under 30 count :D
I do like that when I crash, it tries to restore my tab session - not sure if that's a native FireFox 2.0 thing now, or if it's still because I have Tab Mix Plus in the background (this plugin isn't as needed now because of everything built into 2.0, if i recall). Heh, it sure is slow restoring 100 tabs trying to load them all at once!
